“Real Horseshoes For Real Luck”

Horseshoes have always been associated with good luck……but why?

As the story goes….

A tenth Century eventual Archbishop of Canterbury, an accomplished blacksmith, (who later became Saint Dunstan) was asked to re-shoe the Devil’s cloven hoof.

Dunstan decided to nail a red hot horseshoe to the Devil’s foot and the Devil was in so much pain that he begged him to remove the shoe.

He only agreed to remove the shoe if the Devil promised to never enter into a building where there was a horseshoe above the door.

Hence the horseshoe became a symbol of good luck!
